Unloading and precise positioning of a 480-ton turbogenerator

SM Industry successfully completed a technically demanding project involving the unloading and controlled relocation of a 480-ton turbogenerator. The project scope included several key stages: from preparing a specialized storage area for the heavy equipment to precisely positioning it at the designated location. The project began with the careful unloading of the turbogenerator from a rail transport platform. After unloading, the equipment was fitted with special roller skids to enable safe and controlled horizontal movement. Thanks to meticulous planning and the use of advanced technology, the SM Industry team safely and precisely transferred the turbogenerator to a prepared temporary storage facility. To carry out this large-scale operation, SM Industry employed the Enerpac SLB-300 hydraulic gantry system, a high-capacity pushing system, and a set of four hydraulic jacks, each with a lifting capacity of 100 tons. This combination of specialized lifting and moving equipment ensured maximum stability, precision, and safety at every stage of the transfer process. Despite the considerable weight of the equipment and the related technical challenges, the team of highly qualified SM Industry specialists successfully completed the entire operation, fully complying with all safety regulations and meeting the agreed deadlines.
