Industrial Manufacturing & Materials

Specialized relocation, installation & dismantling for material processing and factory equipment

About industry

At SM Industry, we support clients in industrial materials and manufacturing sectors — including metals, composites, plastics, glass, and textiles — with expert handling of heavy machinery and process equipment. From plant relocations to new-line installations and decommissioning, we ensure high-precision service aligned with production and quality standards.

Our services include:

  • Relocation & revamping of production lines Dismantling, transport, reassembly and commissioning of extrusion lines, kilns, furnaces, presses, mixers, and material coating systems.
  • Installation of new equipment & machinery Turnkey mechanical, electrical and automation setup in material processing plants.
  • Decommissioning & dismantling old plants Safe removal of obsolete machinery—presses, ovens, ladles—handled via controlled dismantling protocols.
  • Heavy lifting & precise logistics Hydraulic gantries, SPMTs, skidding systems and heavy‑duty transport for oversized or sensitive industrial equipment.
  • Mechanical, electrical & automation integration Alignment of cameras, sensors/process instrumentation, PLC/SCADA tie‑in, calibration, and commissioning support.
  • Project engineering, CE compliance & cross‑border coordination Planning, technical documentation, risk assessment, permits and project coordination across Europe.

Client: European composite materials manufacturer
Scope: Relocation of high-pressure die casting line including furnace, press, and conveyor system

As part of a modernization program, SM Industry was assigned to relocate a complete high-pressure die casting line from one plant section to an upgraded production hall. The scope included dismantling of thermal furnaces, structural steel framing, conveyor belts, presses and electrical interfaces — followed by repositioning, assembly and mechanical tuning in the new production zone.

Key highlights:

  • Relocated over 200 tons of equipment, including furnace units, hydraulic presses, cooling conveyors, and process instrumentation

  • Handling of high-temperature furnaces and cooling media, with refractory protection and thermal insulation management

  • Reinforced floor slabs and precision alignment to ±0.5 mm tolerance

  • Mechanical and electrical integration with PLC/SCADA control system and process sensors

  • Commissioning, trial runs and operator training completed in a 12-day shutdown window

  • Zero operational downtime during the move and restart

This project demonstrates SM Industry’s expertise in relocating technology-intensive and thermally sensitive machinery — enabling safe scaling and modernization in the composite materials sector.
