Installation of a 65-tonne press at the AXOR plant

At the client’s plant AXOR, our company carried out a full scope of works related to the unloading, relocation, and precise installation of heavy industrial equipment — a large mechanical press. Once the press arrived at the site, our team first performed its safe unloading, followed by tilting the press from a horizontal to a vertical position using a 180-ton mobile crane. This stage was critical due to the large dimensions and weight of the equipment, which required precise and controlled handling. After the mechanical press was brought to a vertical position, we organised its further relocation into the production hall. Due to limited manoeuvring space and site constraints, a specialised hydraulic push system was used. This technology enables the safe positioning of heavy equipment where the use of traditional lifting machinery is not possible. The unique challenge of this project was working under limited manoeuvrability and on an industrial floor with specific technical limitations. The use of advanced hydraulic equipment proved to be the most effective and safe solution. All operations were performed by a team of four qualified specialists using professional heavy lift equipment, ensuring that the mechanical press was installed precisely, quickly and safely in its designated working position.
